COUNSELLING INFORMATION
Dr Mervin retired from his private practice in 2020 and regrets that he is not able to come alongside you with counselling therapy anymore. He retired as Senior Lecturer and Counselling Program Coordinator at the South African Theological Seminary 2021.
Dr. Mervin would like to thank all who have supported him as clients – especially during his illnesses and surgeries. He wishes all the clients he served through the years the best health, wellness and mental wellbeing.
The Counselling Information is available for you to peruse and use as you prepare for your own counselling experience. Student-counsellors should peruse the content and explore the use of forms as part of their training.
PARAKLESIS COUNSELLOR TRAINING
You can enroll in a Paraklesis Counselling eLearning training course for personal enrichment or professional development. The Paraklesis Counselling Courses are specifically developed to equip yourself as a counsellor, caregiver, and helper. It will prepare you for serving as a Christian counsellor in your community or church and will empower you for your counselling ministry.
If you are new to Counselling training it is recommended that you start by doing the introductory courses and as many of the electives as possible. If you are already involved in Counselling you can add skills and training to enrich your Counselling expertise. Professional Counsellors can selectively take applicable courses for continued professional development.
